Residency, workshops, exhibition and performance In a series of Nu-Substance Festival 2010 Bandung
The world has become a network of information without being able to avoid. Century 21 has character of being missing from reality. The world becomes transparent, the reality disappears, the reality of object and the environment created by the global media: television, internet and digital culture. Media connects us one time but after that it will separate us from reality, from human, object and other experiences.
The Japan Foundation will participate in a special program of Nu-Substance Festival. In this year exhibition , Agung Hujatnikajenong (Selasar Sunaryo Artspace Curator) specifically explores the curatorial theme of "The Loss of the Real", which is expected to become a vehicle to conduct a study and reflection associated with the development of information technology and new media.
In general, this exhibition will reflect the situation in the information age that makes the world more connected and becoming more transparent. Realities of the 21st century has undergone a shift when the reality that we know decays more and replaced by a new reality which is represented by the presence of information technology and media.
